Her Peaceful Sleep by Alex Canton

This short story takes the reader on a very powerful and emotional journey, learning the depth and feelings of losing someone special to them .The author has the skill of actually making you feel these emotions and I have to confess that it reduced me to tears . ...Slight concentration is required halfway through, as the story switches to the family pet bird as first person , observing the pain and hurt it’s master is enduring. This was interesting as it provided a different dimension to the story. This was a great and touching read . I would highly recommend it but have a tissue handy!
